Annuity Actuary Associate – ASA/FSA Track
Location: League City, TX
We are seeking an experienced Annuity Actuary to join our actuarial modeling team in League City, Texas. This role is ideal for an ASA with 5+ years of experience in the annuity market and strong modeling skills. The position supports model development and regulatory implementation for a variety of annuity products including Fixed Deferred, Fixed Indexed, SPIA, PRT, and Variable Annuities.
Annuity Actuary Key Responsibilities:
Lead actuarial modeling projects and support implementation of updated regulatory standards (e.g., VM-22)
Collaborate with valuation, assumption, and QA teams
Document model design decisions and ensure compliance with internal standards
Analyze and interpret data to support strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or related field
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA); FSA preferred or in progress
5+ years of actuarial experience, with at least 3 years in annuity modeling
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with regulations VM-21 or VM-22 implementation
Familiarity with computer programming tools such as VBA or SQL
