Admissions Specialist/Recruiter-West Essex Campus Join to apply for the Admissions Specialist/Recruiter-West Essex Campus role at Essex County College The Admissions Specialist is responsible for serving as a primary contact for admission to the college and support students through the admissions process. Functions And Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Dean of Community, Continuing Education, Workforce Development and the West Essex Campus or designee, the Admissions Specialist will: Implement admissions programs for high school and adult learner students. Visit and present at high schools and agencies for recruiting students. Develop relationships with students and families through on-campus and virtual recruiting activities. Attend college fairs, conduct campus tours, and participate in recruitment events. Support students through admission and enrollment processes. Coordinate information sessions and special events for prospective students. Work closely with faculty, advising, and student services staff. Prepare reports, statistical analyses, and other data related to Admissions. Maintain Banner, Recruit, and databases relevant to prospective student follow-up. Adhere to college, federal, and state administrative procedures. Maintain confidentiality and security of staff and student records. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Experience in higher education, preferably in student services. Working knowledge of computer software applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated professionalism. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related area. Three to five years of experience in higher education, preferably in student services. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized record management systems.
