Job Description

• Hospital employed group is seeking BC/BE Internist to join their inpatient team
• Competitive base salary offered - to be discussed with employer directly
• Schedule: 7 on/7 off - 5 pm - 3 am or 9 pm - 7 am
• APP support available (one on from 12-8 pm, two on from 4 pm-12 am, one on from 12-8 am)
• Cover CCU patients and run their codes, along with floor patient(floor patients have an automatic Pulm/CC consultant on their case). Intensivists cover other ICUs
• No procedures
• Cover another site from 8 pm - 7 am via phone only if their nurses have questions or hospitalists need orders. Their ER handles emergent cases
• Facility typically admits 50-60 patients per 24 hours - can be up to 70 daily
• Large amount of admits from ER between 3 pm-8 pm and 6-12 transfers daily from other hospitals
• New residency program - they are currently in their intern year and will rotate on nights later in residency
• Located in the greater Mobile area - less than 15 minutes from Mobile Regional Airport offering non-stop service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Dallas, and Washington DC
