Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The CST will provide support in a high-volume inpatient surgical environment, covering a wide range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, vascular, gynecology, and robotic-assisted procedures. Weekend shifts and on-call coverage are required as part of the rotating schedule.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field.
Assist surgical teams during procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
Ensure proper functioning and care of surgical equipment.
Work across multiple specialties including orthopedic, vascular, gynecology, urology, and robotic-assisted surgeries.
Adhere to all hospital protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.
Float to sister facility Outpatient Surgery Pavilion as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation as required.
Document cases and maintain accurate records using Epic charting system.
Key Requirements:
2 years of surgical tech experience required.
First-time travelers accepted with minimum of 3+ years of experience.
Experience with Da Vinci Xi Robotic System strongly preferred.
Scrub experience required.
Inpatient surgical experience required.
Must provide all RTO at time of submission.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years required; 3+ years for first-time travelers.
License/Certifications:
BLS (required)
CST (required, NBSTSA certification)

Vascular: Carotid Endarterectomy, AAA repair, Fem-Pop Bypass
Endoscopy / Laparoscopy Assisted Procedures
Preferred Experience:
Ophthalmology: Cataract Extraction, Vitrectomy
Plastics: Breast Augmentation, Abdominoplasty
ENT: Tonsillectomy, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Tracheostomy
Podiatry: Bunionectomy, Metatarsal Surgery
Neuro Surgery: Cervical Fusion, Lumbar Fusion, Kyphoplasty
Robotics: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System (strongly preferred), Gynecologic and Urologic Robotic Surgery
SPD experience, Outpatient Surgery experience
Additional Skills:
Aseptic Technique, Laser Safety, Universal Protocol (Time Out), Instrument Processing, Sterilization & Disinfection, Scope/Probe Reprocessing, Equipment Care (Scopes, Drills, Electrosurgical Units, High Level Disinfection)
On-Call: Yes, as needed
Floating: Yes, to Outpatient Surgery Pavilion (3 OR suites)
Locals Accepted: Yes (within 50 miles - contact AM for local rate)
RTO Restrictions: RTO must be submitted at time of application
Special Requirements: Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic platform highly preferred
