Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming and spot clean carpets.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms.
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies and maintaining the janitorial closet orderly.

Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities very helpful.
• Must have good listening and verbal communication skills.
• Must maintain a neat appearance.
• Uniforms will be provided.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Demands:

• Repetitive physical movements including the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including the ability to walk long distances.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
