Maintenance Electrician

Location: Waterloo, ON
Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Benefits: Health, dental, vision, RRSP, life insurance, and 3 weeks’ vacation to start

Our client in Waterloo is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their night shift team. If you're safety-focused, technically skilled, and ready to take on a key role in plant operations, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and facilities
• Conduct routine inspections to minimize downtime
• Ensure all work meets electrical codes and safety standards
• Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and work orders
• Support preventative maintenance and spare parts programs
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance efficiently
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Ontario Electrician License or Journeyman Certificate of Qualification
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• 2+ years of PLC experience
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
• Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Experience with overhead cranes, tow motors, aerial lifts, and measuring tools is an asset
• Must have own basic tools
