Just in Time Staffing has 2 separate manufacturing supervisor openings due to promotions in Mentor, OH. The positions are:
Machining Supervisor
Fab/Weld Supervisor
Both of these roles are 1st shift hours and previous supervisor experience in a manufacturing facility is required.
Machining Supervisor:
- Operate as a business owner demonstrating metrics-based management in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Ensures effective employee relations, coaching, and employment development
- Create a positive culture focused on metrics
- Responsible for driving a culture of safety and driving accountability and excellence.
- Owns quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Mentor existing Leads and/or develop Leads to help facilitate company goals and objectives.
- Responsible for performance management
- Enforces and implements company policies in a way that employees buy in.
- Partners with and engages Engineering & Quality for product; policy needs.
- Supports Engineering and Quality with improvements to business systems, processes, and products.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance program where applicable
- Responsible for owning inventory, supplies, and budget for the department.
- Utilize LEAN management tools within your business unit
- Continuous improvement
- Responsible for 6S within your area/business unit
- Focus on TOCs – PQDCCC for daily improvement rhythm (MDI) – people/quality/delivery/cost/cash/CI
- Forging a metric-driven culture – drive labor utilization and volume target KPIs
- Ability to cross-train individuals and develop strong team leads
PRODUCTION Weld/Fab SUPERVISOR:
- Oversees production area: Team Leads, Direct Reports, and Indirect Laborers.
- Assist in training the employees while providing them adequate knowledge about process.
- Oversees fabrication and laser areas.
- Educating the employees about the organizations’ rules and regulations.
- Drive accountability to systems, policies, and procedures.
- Coaching, counseling, and disciplining of employees.
- Accomplishes production results by communicating job expectations/planning/monitoring/and appraising.
- Review existing processes and create new standards when required suitable for our production criteria.
- Identify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production.
- Plan and coordinate the responsibilities and shift timings as needed.
- Assist in develop and implementation of quality metrics to drive manufacturing improvements and business results.
- Maintain and enforce quality standards.
- Review inspection records for non-compliance daily.
- Provide guidance to disposition nonconforming material according to agreed quality standards.
- Involvement in the corrective action process. Ensure open 8D’s are completed in a timely manner with effective solutions to true root causes.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Communicating with the employees to understand their problems and make necessary changes.
- Organizing and monitors workflow.
- Completes production plan set by scheduling; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results on shift production to Operations Manager.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by directing and educating personnel on the use of all equipment and resources.
- Drive Lean effort within manufacturing focusing on 5s/quality/efficiency
