About the job Nocturnist Hospitalist
Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Hospitalist to join our inpatient team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established, collaborative hospitalist program at a respected community hospital with access to comprehensive specialty services.
Position Details - Full-time night shift position
- 7 on / 7 off schedule: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
- Responsible for admissions from the Emergency Department, specialist consults, and transfers from other local Prime hospitals
- Participate in Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Code Blue activations (average of 2 per night)
- Cross-cover hospitalist patients (approximately 54-58 patients on the service)
- Average of 8 patient admissions per night (may vary depending on call status)
- No procedures required in-house anesthesiologist available for intubations
- Access to eICU physician support
- Comprehensive Stroke Center and referral site for high-risk PCI and cardiothoracic surgery within the Prime Healthcare network
Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current Illinois medical license (MD or DO) or in process
- Unrestricted current DEA registration
- ACLS certification required
- Clean background and professional references
- Strong team player with excellent communication and patient care skills
- No procedural skills required

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $300,000.00 to $345,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
