Position Overview:

We are searching for an exceptional leader to join our growing practice. They will work with the support and guidance and in collaboration with the Director of Operations. Our ideal hire will be well versed in dental management and business development. They will strive for excellence within themselves and from our team members and feel confident providing coaching and guidance wherever needed. They will also find creative ways to build value in our brand by enriching our patient's experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Report to and work in collaboration with the Director of Operations
  • Operate with the utmost standards of confidentiality in all facets of patient information, employee and HR matters, as well as revenue and profitability
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting and Operations Department to hire, train and manage staff
  • Plan and manage daily operations to ensure excellent patient support services
  • Explain treatment plans, including benefits and out of pocket costs to patients
  • Organize and present payment schedules to patients
  • Ensure that patient appointments, cancellations and last-minute adjustments are handled property
  • Ensure the delivery of quality dental care to patients
  • Respond to patient queries and issues quickly and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Resolve patient issues in accordance with company policies and procedures, healthcare regulations and dental board standards
  • Provide direction and guidance to staff as needed
  • Train, develop and coach staff to meet performance standards
  • Assist in employee performance evaluations, promotions, terminations, and retention activities
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement appropriate coaching, training and corrective actions
  • Develop promotional programs to attract more patients
  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure full coverage
  • Manage specialist referral process
  • Organize and oversee supply purchases, staying within the practice budget
  • Run and analyze management reports
  • Maintain patient data according to regulations and company policies
  • Ensure that records are stored securely and in compliance with privacy and security regulations
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations
  • Take responsibility for the appearance and functionality of the dental office
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3-5 years of recent, relevant and successful management experience, preferably in the dental industry
  • 3 years of experience with dental treatment coordination (indemnity/ PPO/HMO, state and federal plans), preferred
  • A bachelor's degree with a business concentration or MBA preferred, but relevant and relatable working experience accepted
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent analytical, planning, and process development skills, strong business judgment, and high level of initiative are all required
  • Demonstrated success in leadership
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment
