📋 Job Description:

Join our growing team as a Process Engineer in Waverly, Iowa—a welcoming community and strong manufacturing hub. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a food, beverage, or chemical industry background to lead process improvements, scale new technologies, and support plant operations.

We’re especially interested in local or regional candidates (IA, MN, WI) , or those with ties to Iowa who want to return to the Midwest.

🔧 Responsibilities:

• Lead or support on-site engineering projects from concept to implementation
• Develop engineering plans , schedules, budgets, and monitor project progress
• Collaborate with corporate engineering and site leadership
• Troubleshoot production challenges and support technical needs for operations
• Coordinate scale-up projects , including new process or equipment installations
• Work closely with production teams to identify and eliminate bottlenecks
• Provide direction to production operators , and train teams on process improvements
• Draft and update SOPs and technical documentation
• Serve as a technical contact for key customer accounts
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO , and internal quality and safety standards
• Provide hands-on coverage during production needs, including operating equipment if required

🎓 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
• OR 10+ years of relevant industry experience without a degree
• 1–5+ years in food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing
• Knowledge of production engineering, process improvement , and quality systems
• Familiarity with ISO, QSR, or GMP environments is preferred
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and project execution skills
