LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Wound Care for a travel nursing job in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Wound Care Specialist, RN

Day Shift, Weekdays (No Weekends)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care from referral/consultation through discharge and follow-up.
• Assist with the pre-authorization process for patient care.
• Serve as the main contact and facilitator for receiving consults and patient information.
• Coordinate and ensure all patient scheduling, including consultations, diagnostic tests, and treatment procedures.
• Gather patient history and perform physical evaluations and assessments; document findings.
• Assist in ordering labs, x-rays, and diagnostic procedures.
• Work closely with surgeons and physicians to educate patients and families about medical care.
• Assist in developing patient and family educational materials.
• Participate in patient rounds and case conferences.
• Update clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education, and literature review for self and clinical team.
• Provide leadership in process improvement related to patient care.
• Act as liaison and clinical expert to the Department of Quality & Safety for skin and wound-related serious reportable events.
• Lead the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) quarterly pressure injury prevalence survey efforts for the hospital.
• Maintain annual mandatory education requirements.
• Demonstrate commitment to patients, colleagues, and Mount Auburn Hospital, reflecting hospital goals in individual nursing practice.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility and participate in educational opportunities for professional growth, personal well-being, and license renewal.

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access).
