Tax Preparer We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts, coupled with proficiency in tax software. This role is essential for preparing and filing client tax returns accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenses, to determine tax liabilities. Utilize tax software such as Ultra Tax to ensure accurate data entry and reporting. Meet necessary time deadlines per task lists. Analyze IRS notices and drafts responses. Tax planning for less complex clients. Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and financial concepts. Maintain confidentiality of client information while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Collaborate with team members to improve processes related to tax preparation services. Requirements Proven experience in tax preparation or accounting roles, with a solid understanding of accounting principles. The ability to analyze financial data effectively. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Overtime required during tax season.
