The Healthcare Team at Pride Health is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for “ Technical Lab - Lab Assistant” .

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and log specimens in the laboratory system.
• Prepare specimens for testing, including aliquoting, labeling, building worklists, and checking for clots or fibrin.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as centrifuging specimens, preparing reagents/media, inoculating samples, and preparing slides.
• Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and maintain accurate temperature and equipment records.
• Manage specimen storage and retrieval; resolve pending lists and locate missing samples.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including decontaminating surfaces and disposing of biohazardous materials.
• Operate laboratory computer systems and PCs for data entry and sample tracking.
• Adhere to all PPE, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant training preferred.
• Coursework in math and science beneficial.
• No prior experience required; training provided.

Additional Information:

• Location: Irving, TX 75063
• Contract Length: 3 Months
• Pay range: $16-$17/hr. on W2

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
